Positive: Reception area welcoming and clean with a tea/coffee station 24/7. Lovely grounds
Negative: Poor bedrooms, shabby furniture, and sadly room 2 was very very dirty so we were moved to room 4 which was adequate but still in need of a deep clean. Many years ago Grove Lodge was probably quite lovely but not anymore. For 150 per night the very least you would expect is cleanliness. Aoibhe the host apologised profusely but none the less I would not return.

Negative: We thought it was a 5 minute walk from Kilorglin but with the footpath stopping short at least 600 yards and it also being most likely a 10 minute walk it would be treacherous to attempt to walk especially at nighttime

Positive: Location, set in lovely grounds! Comfy beds! Breakfast was adequate, self serve continental.
Negative: Very impersonal, we didn’t meet anyone, lady at breakfast didn’t say anything….were unaware of coffee & tea facilities downstairs…so just assumed there wasn’t any, as none in the room, also no cups/glasses in the room! A little dated, especially the bathroom!
Summary: Excellent location and grounds for the ring of Kerry, though a little dated and no staff around, but a comfortable stay!

Positive: Very cozy, clean and welcoming guesthouse. Convenient check-in. Very nice and caring woman who took care of us during breakfast. It is very nice that the kitchenette is open 24 hours a day, where you can prepare coffee, tea and have a snacks.

Positive: Common kitchen, fridge, free coffe and water
Negative: Due to extreme temperature outside, in our room there were like 35 degrees and was impossible to sleep .. you can open only a little part of the window , the other is blocked.. same situation in the common part of the House . If someone of the staff had shown he/she would have immediately noticed that unbreathable Air .. with 10 Rooms in my opinion someone should be present
